PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has apologized to the residents of Phnom Penh as Cambodia gears up to host the ASEAN Summit, which will cause disruptions of normal traffic as there will be roadblocks when delegations of foreign countries arrive.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony for students of the Royal University of Law and Economics on Tuesday morning, 1 November, Prime Minister Hun Sen stated that some roads will be closed to ensure safety and avoid traffic jams in the city.

The Prime Minister stressed that Cambodia's reputation is on the line when hosting such major events, so he hopes that the people will understand.

The ASEAN Summit will be held from 10-13 November in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
